Clinical Supervision

Psychodynamic clinical supervision centers on helping therapists deepen their understanding of the unconscious dynamics shaping their work with patients. It offers a reflective, relational space where the supervisor and supervisee examine transference, countertransference, enactments, and the therapist’s internal responses as meaningful clinical data rather than obstacles. The focus is less on technique and more on the therapist’s evolving capacity to notice, tolerate, and work with the emotional and interpersonal complexities that arise in treatment. Through sustained attention to the therapeutic relationship, supervision supports the development of a more nuanced clinical stance — one that integrates theory with lived experience, strengthens the therapist’s reflective functioning, and enhances the depth and effectiveness of psychodynamic practice.  Contact me to discuss further.
