I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with recognized Psychotherapy Privileges (LCSW-R). An LCSW-R is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has fulfilled the requirements of the insurance law for supervised experience providing psychotherapy. I am a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work in New York and completed a post graduate training program in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health.
I have supervised in numerous settings; New York Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medical College, the Psychoanalytic Institute in China, as well as in private practice.
Although I work with numerous issues in the therapeutic setting, a few of my clinical interests are:
*Chronic Illness
*Grief & Loss
*Therapists in therapy
*Depression & Anxiety
*Gender
I have maintained a private practice for over 19 years and describe my theoretical orientation as eclectic, however, I am influenced by Freudian thought, Attachment Theory and Relational Theory.
I am committed to continuing my growth towards being anti-racist in my personal and professional life. I believe this is essential to being an ethical psychotherapist. I am specifically educating myself about BIPOC ancestral trauma as well as the lived experience of being a BIPOC person in this country.
I am licensed in Connecticut. Massachusetts and New York
